Greetings Country Valley Farm CSA Members,
We are seeing traditional fall weather in the upcoming forecast. It is truly amazing to be mid-way into October and not have a night that was even close to frost. We are prepared for the cool nights and are thankful for the amount of plant growth that the weather has provided so far.
Looking ahead – The lettuces are finally making small heads and will begin to be in the shares next week – wheew .
This week’s shares include the following (Cooking Tips posted separately):
· Purple Top Turnips (1 quart) from our farm
· Genovese Basil (1 bunch) from our farm
· Pink and Purple Vivid Choi (1 bunch) from our farm
· Garlic, CVF Hardneck variety (3 medium bulbs) from our farm
· Autumn Frost Squash (2) from Cinzori Farm
· Red Bell Peppers (2 or 3) from Cinzori Farm
· Cauliflower (1 head) from Cinzori Farm
· Medium shares will receive extra 2 or 3 red bell peppers, a quart of purple celine beans, a mixed quart of dragon’s tongue and provider beans
