Greetings Country Valley Farm CSA Members,

All shares will be home delivered Saturday.  The delivery time is between noon and 3PM.

After this weekend there are only 2 weeks left in the 2021 CSA Season.

If you are supposed to get double shares to make up for skipped weeks, please let Adam know by this Sunday 11/14 so we can plan accordingly.  We have notes of who skipped weeks and gave at least one-week-notice (that is who would be getting double shares); we just want to make sure our notes are accurate and we don’t want to miss anyone.

If you have a balance due from the 2021 season, for extending your share, please submit payment prior to the end of the season on 11/27.

If you have extra empty CSA bins, please have them out for Adam to pick up on Saturday.

We have extra garlic available; these are the largest of cloves that we saved to the end.  Many folks have conveyed that they have enough garlic, so we are not including garlic in the last 3 weeks of shares.  If you’d like to purchase extra garlic, we are offering it to our CSA members for $12/pound (you will get about 8-12 big bulbs in the pound); our regular price is $18/pound.  Let Adam know if interested and it can be delivered with your regular weekly shares.

This week’s shares include the following (Cooking Tips posted separately):

·         Tatsoi (1 bunch of rosettes) from our farm

·         Daikon Radish (about 2 pounds) from our farm

·         Black Spanish Radish (about 2 pounds) from our farm

·         Purple Top Turnips (about 2 pounds) from our farm

·         Lemon Balm (1 bunch) from our farm

·         Yellow Onions (about 2 pounds) from Cinzori Farm

·         Sweet Potatoes (about 2 pounds) from Cinzori Farm

·         Medium shares will receive extra tatsoi, 1 pint of brussels sprouts, extra daikon and extra turnips

Thank you for your ongoing support and for sharing the joy of the community supported agriculture membership – it makes a big difference in our world and is deeply acknowledged.

Warm Regards,

Adam and the Country Valley Farm Team
