Hi Everyone,
All CSA shares will be home delivered again this week at a similar time as last week (between 2-5PM). If you aren’t going to be home, please let us know in advance and place a cooler outside with a few ice packs in there and we will put the full box of produce in the cooler; and place your empty bin on top of the cooler. We will resume pickups next week and all subsequent weeks at Genesis of Ann Arbor (Temple Beth Emeth/St Clare’s Episcopal Church) 2309 Packard Ann Arbor, MI.
This week’s small box shares contain the following items – cooking tips posted separately.
· Mixed Braising Greens, an assortment of red mustards, collards, red kale, lacinato kale and curly kale (1 bag) – from our farm
· Fresh Peppermint (1 bunch) – from our farm
· Broccoli – from Cinzori Farms of Ceresco
· Sugar Snap Peas (2 pints) from Cinzori Farms of Ceresco
· Popping Corn on the ear (4 ears) from Cinzori Farms of Ceresco
· Asparagus (1 bunch) – from Cinzori Farms of Ceresco
Medium boxes contain an extra bunch of peppermint, extra broccoli and extra 3 ears of popping corn
Looking ahead – Garlic scapes will be in the boxes starting next week and fresh garlic bulbs will start sometime in July. Sage will be in the boxes next week. The mixed braising greens will continue. We should start to see basils being ready sooner than later. The variety will continue to change as we roll through the season. We are less than 2 weeks from Summer Solstice and are very thankful for the warm weather and rains we’ve been receiving.
